Provided by YPmobileWent to Pepe's in Fairfield about 6 months after it opened. The lines were always long and a lot of people told me how great the food was. What a crock! After waiting in line for almost an hour, it was almost another hour before someone took our order and then another hour to get served! The pizza was tasteless except for being burnt. The crust was thin as a cracker and the cheese topping was skimpy. The waitstaff was ok but obviously inexperienced. Tables were sticky even though they wiped them off. Then they served the soda.... in a glass not much bigger than a shot glass. Ok, that may be a little exaggerated. If the glass held 3 ozs. it was a lot...and no ice. We asked. Crappiest pizza I ever had. Wouldn't recommend it at all. Oh yeah, the prices were high too. $27 for a clam pizza! They were canned clams to boot! Highly overrated place.

I went back recently to 'the' Naples where my navy ship often stopped 48 years ago - and found the same pizza restaurant I used to go to a lot. Frank Pepe's Pizzeria Napoletana in Fairfield (and New Haven) is better.former Navy flier
