Love love love the Pet Lodge! The staff is so friendly and helpful and my dogs love it here. We splurge for the Ponderosa room and my dogs are always run in as soon as we get there (not true of other popular boarding facilities we've tried in Hampton Roads). We've used them about 7-8 times now and have always been pleased!

My golden had a great time. Recently received the Readers Choice Award so not many people agree with the poor rating shown here and so few to boot. Great play areas with shade and wading pools. Love the glass door "rooms". Areas available for older dogs. Don't judge by the yp ratings go check for yourself. My dog came out clean and happy!

I took my dog here for one week, the manager was very friendly, but the owner was not. The owner did not seem to care about pleasing her customers or care about the pets. The owner did not reply to emails, because they were "so busy". I wonder how much care my dog received, there should have been more help. My dog was extremely anxious for several days upon returning home, unlike the previous boarding at another place. The run where she stayed was roomy, I got the larger run, but it was expensive. You really don't know the care they get and if they really do get out four times a day?.? It would have been better if they weren't "full" and had more help. The manager explained a lot and was reassuring, stay away from the owner! She doesn't seem to care.

I will never use this place again. My dog had to go the the emergency vet after staying here and he had infected sores all over his body and was lethargic. When we called the Pet Lodge they didn't call us back for days. When the owner finally did she said they never saw these sores and we should have told them that he had sensitive skin. They don't pay for Vet bills if something happens to your pet unless you buy additional insurance, so keep that in mind.

Wasn't that impressed with the overall stay that my dogs had while they were there for a week. We brought a blanket for our dogs to sleep with and when we came in all the blankets were in the front reception area, not sure if it ever made it back to them to sleep with. Both my dogs looked extremely stressed when they were brought out for us to take them home. They were shedding like crazy! They have diarrhea, and kennel cough and one of my dogs isn't hungry at all and hasn't eaten since we have been home. We board our dogs frequently however we won't be using or recommending this place to anyone.

I was out of town for a week and left my baby with them.all I can say is I am extremely happy I left her here with pet lodge, they took excellent care of Abby and have a awesome staff that is upfront with stuff I.e cost etc

I took my dog here for a week while out of town. Could not have been more pleased with the caring staff at the Pet Lodge. Would def recommend this resort to my friends.

This place has it all... My dog and cat stayed for a week and came home clean and happy. Now I bring my lab twice a week for daycamp and she can't wait to get there. Iwould give this two thumbs up to anyone with pets.
