- Pediatric CareIf you are interested in making Village Pediatrics your child/children’s medical home, please read the “Are We a Good Fit” page to review our policies, then complete this survey to that we can ensure that we are a good match for your family.
- Primary CareCall your insurance company to verify that our office is listed, and to change your child’s Primary Care Provider (PCP) to her if necessary. See our list of contracted insurance plans; if your plan is not on that list, we are always happy to see you out-of-network or on a cash-pay basis.
- Ear InfectionsWe work hard to not overuse antibiotics. We educate families on appropriate use of antibiotics, and follow evidence-based guidelines in our prescribing of medication. We do not automatically treat ear infections or green snot with antibiotics, nor do we routinely call in antibiotics over the phone as we do not believe this is good, or safe, medicine. When we believe antibiotics are appropriate treatment, we are happy to explain why.
- Emergency CareWEEKEND/HOLIDAY appointments As a pediatric office, we see patients every day of the year. On weekends and holidays, we ask that you call us prior to 10 am if you feel your child needs to be seen for an acute medical problem. Later appointments are not always possible, but we can give you advice on whether to seek emergency care or how to administer home care until we can see your child.

- Autism~We firmly believe, based on all available literature, evidence, and current studies, that vaccines do not cause autism or other developmental disabilities. - Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)Complete a medical record release form and submit it to your previous pediatrician’s office. This is especially important for children with any significant past medical problems, including but not limited to ADHD, asthma, behavioral or psychiatric concerns, growth delays, any specialist visits, abnormal labs, etc.

- Mental HealthUse the Patient Portal NO URGENT ISSUES PLEASE. You can send an appointment request thru the MyKidsChart patient portal. Please let us know the type of appointment you need (well, non-urgent sick, medical recheck, medication follow up or behavioral/mental health evaluation.) In your message please include the physician you would like to see and several day/time options (below you will find the physicians typical weekly schedule.)
- Behavioral HealthMental/Behavioral Health Visits The physicians ask that you complete specific CHADIS questionnaires prior to booking these appointments. The physicians need to review your responses to better determine the type and length of appointment needed, or if a referral to a mental health care provider is indicated. Once all forms (parent/caregiver and/or teacher) are received we will call you to set up a visit.
- RadiologyFor the insurance carriers we are currently unable to participate with, we have many patients who choose to see us as "out of network" doctors. Typically, once you meet a predefined deductible, our reasonable and customary charges will be covered at 70-80%, depending on your specific plan. We are happy to provide you with a bill that you can submit immediately after the visit. You should check with your insurance carrier for details specific to your plan. You may also use your insurance to pay for any radiology services, medications, lab tests, physical therapy, and specialist services we may refer you to if you are eligible for those benefits through your plan. We participate in Connecticut’s Vaccines for Children Plan which provides the majority of your child’s vaccines for free.
