I was there with the previous reviewer that did not get her hair blow dryed, I actually arrived at 5:30 pm and did not leave until 11:30 pm, hair still unfinished, I had to come back the next morning before work, because she still had two people ahead of me at 11:30 pm. She falsly advertises on her Trubates deal, claiming that you get a "Full Sew-in" which would be none of your natural hair showing. She left my hair out and said I was supposed to bring a closure which she didn't tell me ahead of time. She then said I could purchase the closure and come back and she would complete the sew-in. When I went back a week later, (went to work, hair undone for a week) she had me wait or an hour and says, "oh it will be an extra $35". She is so unprofessional and I wouldn't recommend her to anyone, I have never had such a bad experience.

I am new to the area, and I am so happy to have found a stylist with such a precise skill level as I have found with Cynthia. My hair is very thick and very long. Cynthia was able to press my hair in just about an hour. My hair looks and feels just beautiful, its as if she put something in it but she didn't- it literally feels like silk, I love the natural sheen it has and also the fact that it really moves so freely. I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Allure Hair, except that I have booked for a month in advance weekly. I have been going to Alluring Hair Designed by Cynthia and it was a great find. My hair has not looked this good and healthy in quite some time. I am able to go during the week at lunch time and get out in under 2 hours, ( I have very long hair). The prices are very reasonable and well worth the services provided.Cynthia is awesome with hair. I discovered Alluring Hair Designed by Cynthia in the Spring of last year and I have been going there when in DC for a year now. Cynthia, is delightful and has created a professional environment for her clientele at the salon. CYNTHIA, is my stylist and I am so happy to have found this jewel in the extremely hip, "U" Street District. She is without a doubt, an amazing stylist.
