General Info

Ali Clark, D.O., is a practitioner of family medicine who is passionate about using nutrition and lifestyle changes as part of an integrative treatment approach to many chronic health problems, as well as optimizing patients’ health and wellness through prevention. Because of her own health journey of weight loss and healing, Dr. Clark realized she was uniquely suited to help patients who struggle with metabolic disease. “My goal is to teach, empower and inspire patients to improve their own health,” she said. “I have seen patients who implement consistent, impactful lifestyle changes achieve dramatic results in treating (and reversing) symptoms, or in some cases, even the underlying diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension and obesity.” As a family medicine doctor, Dr. Clark enjoys taking care of patients during all parts of their life spectrum. She especially likes taking care of families together and developing long-term relationships with them. “It is so important for people to have a primary care provider before they get sick so they can prevent the potential consequences of undiagnosed and untreated diseases,” Dr. Clark said. “Many diseases are silent or may go unnoticed for years, but when untreated often have severe, life-altering consequences which may be irreversible.” Dr. Clark grew up in Barrington, Rhode Island. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology in 2001 from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. In 2000, she completed an environmental studies course, including a semester at the Biosphere 2 Center in Oracle. After graduation, she worked as a clinical trials coordinator in adult oncology at Rhode Island Hospital for eight years before going to medical school in Maine at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine.
