I have had great experiences with Care Animal Hospital over the years. The doctors are highly skilled, they don't rush you out of the room, and the office staff are such wonderful ladies. I have 9 cats and 2 dogs and very little money. They always give me a break on the price of an office visit by giving me the "coupon" rate even though I always manage to forget to bring one with me. I brought in one of my cats this summer, who was losing weight rapidly. Turns out he had been hit by a car but I didn't know it. An xray showed this. The bill came to $250 but they let my friend pay with her credit card over the phone for me. I ended up having to put the cat down. They refunded me half my money, and as I cried my eyes out, they all did too. They always adored my cat. They later sent a sympathy card. Just knowing they all cared so much meant a lot to me. I recommend this vet and I hope you give them a chance :) Say Ann sent you.

I completely agree with the prior post in April. I had the same experience. Staff was very friendly and talkative. I waited about 10 minutes to get into a room and then sat for about 25 with my scared cat (from all the noise) until an aide came in. She took the temp, took a history of what happened then vet finally showed up. After looking at my cat's paw (which was a small cut between his pads) she told me what the treatment plan was and that she would write it up.After being in shock over what she was proposing for such a small cut (collar, antibiotic shot, antibiotic liquid form for home, paw bandaged up) she brought back the plan - $190. That did include a rabies shot for $20. Such an aggressive treatment plan for such a small cut. I was in shock! And I told her so! The cut was not that bad! I saw it! What a rip off! Needless to say I will not go back there. I got the antibiotic & collar (never used either-but bought just in case) and just applied Neosporin. So sad!

Staff was very friendly and courteous; however I was charged $45 for an examination that never happened. The vet never even took a good look at my cockatiel before leaving the room and sending an aid in with a list of things they wanted to do to my pet. The list totaled over $500 and that was just for a 24 hour period of examination and testing. Had this information been presented in a different manor it may have been reasonable. But to not even look at the animal and want the owner to commit to $500 is absurd. And I still had to pay the initial $45 which left a bad taste in my mouth, considering it is called an Examination fee and no examination in fact took place.
