Great place to have your car repaired

My car was running really rough so I brought it in to hook up to the computer. There were 9 engine codes and 1 transmission code. I was told I didn't need to worry about the engine codes but the transmission code tells them they need to remove it, take it apart and replace whatever parts were broken. I was given a general quote of $2000-$3000. I asked for a copy of the codes that the computer brought up and I was told I couldn't have a copy but the manager would write them down. He only wrote down 4 codes referring to misfires. I brought my car to a private mechanic the next day who found I just needed oil. These people see a woman with a nice car and assume I can just throw $ away for something that isn't even needed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP!!
