Flood Middle School provides academic instruction and enrichment programs to more than 600 students in grades seven and eight. The school s academic courses include band, chorus, music, computer applications, art, family and consumer science, technology education, performing arts, math and social studies. The school has a staff of guidance counselors who work to develop positive interpersonal relationships and provide career advice. It supports various extracurricular activities that include jazz band, yearbook, reach out club, select group and the National Junior Honor Society. In addition, the school s library has a collection of more than 9,000 books that complement the academic curriculum. Flood Middle School is a part of Stratford Public Schools and is located in Stratford, Conn.
