      Founded in 1988, Coating Design Group Inc. manufactures coating equipment in Milford, Conn. Initially operating from Florida as an engineering firm, dedicated to the design of equipment for the application of optical grade coatings, it relocated to Connecticut in 1990 to set up a facility for the manufacturing of coating equipment. The company applies coatings for abrasion and chemical resistance, Ultraviolet (UV) protection and static dissipation such as lenses for gauges and meters, wafer carriers, optical scanners, automotive lighting, and commercial and military glazing. The manufacturing capabilities offered by Coating Design Group Inc. include computer numerical control (CNC) machining and laser machining of all materials, including plastics, glass, metals and other composites. It also offers additional services for pad printing, screen printing, laser cutting, CNC routering and custom assembly.
