      On September 21, 1933 The Italian Center of Stamford, Inc. was chartered by the State of Connecticut. From its origin as the Italian Social Institute, founded in 1909, to its present day location on Newfield Avenue, the Italian Center has always been an integral part of the Stamford community. As a member of the Italian Center of Stamford you have at your disposal a vast array of recreational and fitness activities. You can swim year-round in the indoor pool, work out in the fitness center or play basketball in the full size gymnasium. During the summer months enjoy one of our three outdoor pools, play a round of miniature golf, play tennis on one of two different types of court surfaces or just stop by the snack bar for an early evening dinner with the kids.

      Welcome to the Italian Center Athletic Department. IC fitness and recreational programs are designed to offer a wide variety of skills for all ages. Uncompromising attention to every detail, affordability, quality and integrity are what it prides itself in. Whether celebrating life's most important events or accommodating all of your business requirements, the IC Banquet and Conference Center sets itself apart as absolutely unique. Our fully licensed IC Nursery School provides 3 and 4-year old preschoolers with a great environment for both learning and play. The excellent teaching staff has years of experience and they are well versed in working with young children. Physical activities such as swimming and gym offer a welcome variety from the daily classroom activity. The IC summer Day Camp is a great way for your child to develop, grow and learn while having fun with his or her peers. From swim lessons to music & dance to softball or soccer, each day is filled with a variety of p rograms and activities.
