Beautiful studio, caring and friendly staff, great management...San Diego Arthur Murray is a winner studio!

We had a blast learning to do the dances purchased with living social coupon. We were asked to purchase additional lessons. There was no high pressure to do so. We had a wonderful time, lots of fun!! We learned some basics which were very helpful.

Can't say enough great things about this place. Everyone there is extremely nice, fun, and patient. Do they hard sale yes but they give you time to think about it. If you truly love to dance it's worth every dime. Elliot is my main instructor and he's awesome. I have had 2 other instructors Michael and Janine and they are just as great. My son is 12 and just started lessons and really enjoys the private and group lessons. I highly recommend this place!!!

My fiance and I bought the 2 private lessons groupon in order to learn a dance for our wedding. We wanted to do more than 7th grade swaying! Our instructor, Elliot, was amazing. He was fun, energetic and knows his stuff! The first session we tried a bunch of different dances to try and decipher which we liked and which would fit our first dance song. The second lesson we began to really choreograph the dance. We could have opted to take what we learned and be on our way, but we were having fun, and decided to pay for 2 more lessons and really do it right. After 4 sessions we have a dance we love and feel much more confident about our first dance. I dare say we're looking forward to it now! Thanks Elliot and the whole team!

I bought a groupon to attend two private lessons at Arthur Murray in Mission Valley. My girlfriend and I just wanted to get a couple of steps down to be a bit more put together on the dance floor. Curt was our instructor, and he was awesome. He taught us 4 different steps catered exactly to what we wanted to learn and made it super fun. I highly recommend this place.

Most of the instructors are very nice and are genuinely interested in you learning the correct dance moves. They really do make newcomers feel welcome and help novice dancers learn moves that are in their skill level. The instructors are also very good themselves and can show you different styles to learn if you buy a bigger package of lessons. Overall, the staff is AM's number one asset and they really are nice to learn from

We initially started going to AM because we bought a Groupon. We quickly realized two lessons would not be enough for us! We bought a wedding package and have taken two lessons so far. Both of our lessons have been with Steven and he is wonderful! Everyone there is so nice and the instructors are very talented. They have really catered to our needs, wants and ability levels. We still have a few lessons to go before the wedding (fingers crossed our dance goes well!) and we are so happy to be doing them at this studio.

My fiance and I wanted to learn a few steps for our upcoming wedding and they did an amazing job transforming us from clumsy dancers, into albeit not amazing dancers, but much better then we were when we started! Our first dance went well and we are very glad we took a few lessons! It is also very nice how they will let you come to the studio at any time when they are open to practice, even if you are not scheduled for a lesson that day!

What started as a Groupon and my hopes that my husband would actually follow-through and go with me the first time has turned into one of the most enjoyable things we've done as a couple. We have been taking lessons now for over a year and have a great time, we have seen progress (we're slow learners) and love going to our classes. When time permits, we have our two teens take lessons as well - probably one of the best investments we have done for our kids. It has taught them confidence, poise, and best of all - how to dance in public. The instructors are all great dancers, teachers and are very personable which makes it easy for anyone to feel comfortable and want to learn to dance. The one-on-one attention really allows the instructors to focus on you, and not a group of people. For years, we would attend formal dinner/dances and sit at the table watching others dance. I can finally say those days are over, thank goodness! We now spend more time on the dance floor

Thank you all there, especially Elliot, for teaching Josh and I how to dance! Everyone said we did such a good job and looked like pros We had never danced together once in 6 years, and in 5 lessons had our wedding dance down with no mistakes!!! THANK YOU!!!!

The instructors are always upbeat and encouraging and cheerful. If they can teach my husband to dance gracefully, they can teach Godzilla and King Kong and Frankenstein to dance too. If anyone thinks they have two left feet and cannot learn to dance, give the fabulous teachers at Arthur Murray a chance. They can do the impossible.

Arthur Murray is amazing!!! My husband and I took lessons here for our wedding and I have absolutely no complaints and tons of compliments. They made us feel right at home, especially my husband. He was very nervous about dancing and after the very first lesson he admitted that he had a lot of fun. We had private lessons, cut our music, and choreographed our hole dance. After the wedding, we were told by numerous people how amazing our dance was. Altogether, A+ for Arthur Murray.

I cannot say enough good things about this dance studio. My fiance and I are getting married on April 6th and it is safe to say we are not good dancers! We want our first dance to be special (and it had also be great not to embarrass ourselves on the dance floor in front of a video camera and all of our loved ones), so we decided we needed professional help. We bought a groupon to Arthur Murray dance studio, it came with 2 private lessons, one group lesson, and one party class. As I write this review we have one more class to go (the group class.) We have mostly been learning from Jude and Adam, who are the nicest, friendliest, most welcoming people ever. But during our party class, Unique (who I think is the franchise owner if I am not mistaken) also was teaching us and she is great. So so nice!! They took two unconfident dancers and taught us how to be graceful on the dance floor. They played our wedding song for us so we could practice steps to that

I am so sad we only have one class left on our groupon! We love it so much we are trying to find it in our budget to continue classes up until our wedding (and after). They have got some pretty decent pricing so we will see. We love this studio. If you want to learn how to dance for your wedding, I absolutely recommend AMDS!!!!! Also, if you are looking for something fun and different to do on a date night, try a class. We made date nights out of all the times we went. We had the best time!

My feeling as I came for my first few lessons was mostly fear. Fear of not being able to learn the dances, of stepping on someone's toes, and of embarrassing myself and my wife somehow. I was worried I could not learn "fancy" dance steps because I have basically zero dance abilities, except for an occasional twist, or bump, or bunny hop at a wedding. Well, I was relieved to find that after two or three lessons my fears dissipated. I thank the instructors for that. In our private lessons our instructor, Shawna, is an expert in teaching very basic dance moves to beginners. She was very kind and supportive throughout and made the lessons fun. Secondly, in our group lessons I found out quickly that almost everyone there was a beginner just like me; and the lessons are taught at a slow, simple pace that everyone in class can catch on to. Like me, many people were making small mistakes and no one really even noticed.
