FAMILIES BEWARE!!!!! My family was referred to the Asante Family Agency located at 1255 E Highland Avenue Ste 107 San Bernardino, CA to maintain supervised visitation between my daughter and her father. Upon intake appointment I asked several questions first of which if they were informed by the courts about the details of the case and second if the visitation is 100% monitored during the full two hours. I was assured that they had been informed about the details of the case and that my child would not be left alone for any reason. Problems with Mary Hickey began the very first time we dropped my daughter off for visitation. When me and my husband went to pick my daughter up she very rudely told us that only one party was allowed to pick her up. My husband has since waited out in the car when we pick her up. However, I have noticed other couples waiting together to pick up their child and she has not told them they are only allowed one party inside. In addition, she has allowed numerous people in the visitation room with my daughter and her father.After one visitation my daughter informed me that the person in her room was watching multiple rooms and had turned their back on her and her father during which he whispered in her ear. Why was this allowed to happen? Why is it that the mediator was not paying 100% attention to what was being said and done during the visitation? They are supposed to ensure that this does not happen. At the next visitation scheduled my husband approached Mary to discuss the fact that this incident has occurred. Instead of dealing with the negligence of her employees she instead made it appear that my husband had a problem with her hugging her father. This is not the case she should feel completely comfortable during visitation and exchange and not be placed in the situation that makes her feel unsafe or unhappy about having the visitation at this place. We have been going to this facility for about 3 months in that time it has become apparent that she is singling me and my family out for some reason. Then to top it all off she filed false reports with the court that my husband caused a scene in front of my child which was not even true she was inside the room with her father and my husband was outside the building!
