Chinese Medicine has been used for over 3000 years by people around the world for their healthcare needs. With over 12 years clinical experience, my interest in Chinsese Medicine began long before school. At the age of 14, I began to study the Internal Martial Arts XingYi. Based on the Five Elements and also containing in it the principles of Yin/Yang, Xing Yi became my first exposure to a long history of health care and maintenance. Specializing in pain management and orthopedic disorders, stress, digestion problems, weight loss, hormonal balancing, arthritis and general health maintenance. Chinese Medicine does not focus on symptoms, but looks for the underlying cause of any illness. This is one of the main differences between Eastern and Western medicine and why they work great together. Western medication and surgery knowledge is great for emergency conditions but provides little for long term health. Chinese Medicine gets to the root cause of the symptoms to correct the imbalance so that the symptoms do not return. Treatments may include acupuncture, tui na (medical massage), herbs, supplements, dietary modifications and lifestyle changes to create a balanced plan that is right for you.
