I took my Camry to Rick's for an oil change. Soon after the check engine light was on and my son-in-law looked under the hood. There was no coolant in the reservoir. I paid over $300 to have a vacuum shift valve replaced and the engine light went off. The car still didn't run well and son-in-law found that the battery had almost no water in it. The car is going to another garage for better service. Not checking the fluids when a car is serviced is unacceptable!

BEWARE

I recently went to Rick's for an overheating problem.

I was charged $500 to fix the problem. Upon my first road trip out of town my car overheated again. I had to drive with my heater on ( and my children in the car) in 105 degree weather. The usual 3 hour trip took 6 hours due to the multiple stops that I took to keep my engine from going out. After taking my car back in & hoping Rick would make good on his work I was then told that I had a bad head gasket. Which he never diagnosed the first time . He told me this would be an additional $2300. I told him that I didn't have the money at this time & was there a cheaper alternative? Rick then told me he would look into getting me a used engine & that would be cheaper. Hd told me he would call me as soon as he found the part. 2 weeks went by & I called to check on my status. I was told he would call me soon.

2 more weeks went by & still no call. I decided to go somewhere else & immediately found out it was simply my bad radiator. Along with my fan not working properly.

The other place fixed my problem that day for the much lesser fee of $770.

Along with that there was no head gasket issue .

My car runs perfectly now.

So besides losing $500 on a 'fix' I didn't need, I also saved around $1500 by going elsewhere. I had heard bad things before but decided to give them a chance. Bad decision. I've never written a review before ( let alone a bad one ). So take my advice & go elsewhere.

My cousin had a problem with h...

My cousin had a problem with his transmission due to some incompetent work done by another shop. Rick found the least expensive solution and helped us resolve the dispute with the other shop.

He went the extra mile for us and will for you too. If you've got car problems go see Rick.
