Founded over 30 years ago, Teka Interconnection Systems designs and manufactures application-specific and industry standard interconnect devices. The company's capabilities include high-speed precision stamping, plastic injection molding and connector manufacturing. It is an ISO 9001 certified and a qualified supplier to IBM, Motorola, ITT, Raytheon, Nortel Networks, Alcatel and Tellabs as well as small-to-medium sized companies. In 2003, the company acquired AWI Industries in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., a fully integrated company that designs, engineers and manufactures connectors. Its product line includes standard technology connectors, press fit technology, surface mount solder flux bearing, to name a few.
