Established in 1970, Armstrong Elementary School offers educational programs to students in kindergarten through grade six. The school's curriculum includes reading, physical and special education, music, language arts, English, math, science and social studies. Armstrong Elementary School also has a parent-teacher organization that sponsors various fundraising events and activities. The school operates a library that provides various resources, including electronic, print and other materials. Armstrong Elementary School has a counselor who conducts classroom guidance lessons, leads counseling groups and counsels individual students. In addition, the school offers the Title I program. The school also provides adult English and after-school enrichment classes. Armstrong Elementary School is a part of Fairfax County Public Schools and is located in Reston, Va.
