I just felt the need to write ...

I just felt the need to write you an e-mail to say that I think your company is incredible. We bought our pool from Rising Sun in 1999 and have enjoyed it ever since. The pool was built to last and we have had only to do some minor maintenance here and there. Not only that, but when there is some small problem, your service techs are out right away to fix the problem as quickly and as inexpensively as possible. Your service techs are simply the best. I have never dealt with any company that has the level of customer service and customer satisfaction as Rising Sun Pools. Your staff has always been helpful and extremely courteous and you make a great product that you stand behind. Anyone who buys a pool anywhere else is out of their mind.

Pete came out this morning to inspect the pool at the home we’re purchasing. Rising Sun Pools has been great to deal with over the phone and email. The real test is, however, how their employees interact with the customers’ in the coustomers’ home, back yard and pool deck.

Pete took the time to explain why some things can wait and others need to be fixed right now. To a new home and pool owner, Pete taking his time and walking through what the pool was doing and not doing – and what would need attention and fixing was just outstanding.

Buying a home is a tremendous process and a pool ceritanly adds to the stress inintally. Rising Sun Pools and Pete did a great job and we will ceritanly be calling on you and your services again.

Thank you

Horrific service. John at the N. Raleigh location was angry (swearing in the store) and was reluctant to help me with questions regarding my spa. I called the main office on Hillsborough St, the manager, Vinny, said they were sorry to hear of his poor behavior and that the owners would call me directly. They never did. I've spent thousands of dollars at their stores. Not only have they offended me, and others in the store, but they have lost a good customer. There are many other pool and spa retailers in the area that offer better service and often have the same products for less. I've only found this out recently because I was a loyal customer of theirs beforehand. AVOID RISING SUN POOLS & SPAS. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS.

Just want to say Ryan reinforced the reason I continue pass two pools stores when going all the way to your store. I know I pay a little more at RSP over the other pool stores, and more over Home Depot and Lowes (although it had been explained to me that their chemicals and salt are junk ; ), but Ryan spent a good 10 minutes with me on the phone explaining why I should close my pool each winter (this year I was thinking about just leaving it open), and a few better ways to go about doing it. I pretty much can expect some good advice every time I call in, but Ryan was a real help on an issue that's been buggin' me for a while. So that's about it. I rarely take the time to send a note to a business for a good or bad experience, but Ryan spent some real good time with me, and that's why I keep coming across town to RSP.

Terrible

I had them inspect a pool prior to my home purchase. $400 for nothing. The pool would not turn on. The "tech" said he had no idea why. I had to purchase a new pool pump the day I moved in. Another pool person diagnosed the issue right away.

Second experience: I have a problem with my pool heater. Does not kick on but the blower is on. Home warranty people sent rising sun. After much time on the phone and looking at the instructions he says the heater is fine...it's the gas valve...says call the gas company. I paid my $60 deductible. Called the gas company the next day who came right away. After checking everything they said the gas and valve are fine. Warranty company is trying to get them to come again.

I understand this customer was upset upon the realization that they needed a new pump, but we couldn't control there being no electricity at the pool equipment when we did the inspection in June. We were requested to come on 6/9 and were able to schedule their service within 48 hours. We were contracted to do an inspection of this homeowners pool BEFORE they moved in, we were paid $400 to have 2 men uncover the pool, summerize the system, perform the inspection and then recover the pool back up. Since the electrical was not working at the equipment we were only able to do a thorough site inspection of the system. We did, however, go above a standard inspection and pressure test all the lines (which is NOT included in an inspection). We wanted to provide the homeowner with the satisfaction of knowing that the lines were all water tight. We never heard from the homeowner again after they moved in and had the power back on, so we could complete the system inspection which would have included checking the pump. The inspection report sent on 9/12 stated there was an electrical issue, nothing at the pump was working, not just the pump; none of the electrical components had power. We would have gladly come back out and checked if they had let us know when the power was back on. On 9/3 September we were called by their warranty company to troubleshoot their gas heater. My technician arrived on 9/9 and checked the volts coming into the heater and ran several other diagnostic checks, the heater would not light; he determined there was a low gas pressure issue which is indicative of a gas regulator failure; he therefor instructed the homeowner to call the gas company. While on the job site the homeowner requested a lesson from our tech regarding the waterfall and how to operate their filter, we did that at no charge even though it was not being paid by the warranty company. The gas company arrived on 9/10 and let the h/o know it was not a gas valve issue; the homeowner called us to let us know and we were there within 48 hours to address the issue. Our tech called the heaters tech support line when he arrived because again there were gas pressure issues. He was told the same thing, that it was a gas regulator issue, he explained it had been checked and that is was fine. They asked us to then change the gas valve on the heater and if that didn't work we would then have to check with the gas company again. There was no charge for that stop as well. We replaced the heater valve on 9/16 and the heater was running and operational. Please note this review was written the day the gas company went out and before we were even notified of their findings. We were never given the opportunity to finish the repair before they posted this; Maybe they will consider modifying it. thank you - Tara
