I was diagnosed with vitiligo because I was losing pigmentation on my foot. Being a African American, it was very noticeable. The spreading of it would totally change my life. However, Dr. Puente was not compassionate in giving me a chance to ask questions. He never really explained what vitiligo was. Thank God I already knew. The doctor simply made the diagnosis, gave me a steroid creme and told me to come back in six months. Afterwards, I asked the advice of Dr. Beverly Goode at the Beverly Medical Center on Creedmoor Rd. She did a series of blood tests and put me on a regimen of supplements. My color came back within five weeks! She is awesome! On my next appointment with Dr. Puente, I explained how my color came back. He did not express any interest and did not write anything down to help out his future patients that may benefit.

I saw Dr. Laing for a routine mole check. I assumed that she would examine my body for places of concern; however, all she did was ask me which moles I was concerned about. When I returned for a follow-up visit to get a couple of growths removed, she administered numbing medicine but did not wait until the spots were numb and proceeded to remove them. Needless to say, it was painful. I was not very impressed.

I would not recommend Raleigh Dermatology. I was a new patient and I was on time. I had my paperwork completed by the appointment time. However, I waited 20 minutes and still was not called to the back. I had an important conference call so I left and told them I would call back to reschedule. I was able to reschedule my call and returned back in 20 minutes and at this time they refused to work me even though they had me waiting for 20 minutes. I was so disappointed because it would seem that since they were running behind with me leaving they would have caught up 20 minutes later. But anyway, I will never go back there....
