Plumber arranged for Electric Solutions to hook up a water heater. My mistake was not asking for how much it would cost. Was told they would put in a safety switch. When arrived said, code did not require it because circuit breaker box was in view from water heater. I accept that as true. However, all they had to do was hook one 2 foot 12 gauge wire from the water heater to the circuit breaker. My wife said they were courteosus and did the job well. I was not there, and they charged her $200 for about 15 minutes of apprentice work!!! Wish I was there to challenge on the spot. I called later and asked for a partial refund, but was declined. Here's a quote from their website: "Not by the hour but by the job. We give you a low fixed price on your project, or repair." That would not be a truthful statement in our case. Ultimately it's my fault for not getting it quoted. Just wish it would have been a more honest charge.
