So this is the first time my wife and I rented a vehicle from this location. We rented it a week in advance from our first trip to New York. My wife has been interviewing in NY for Rockefeller and NYU. She has two Masters and a Doctorate, finishing at Harvard she went on the job market. Here's the first thing Hertz did. First, they waited till the day before to tell us, we couldn't have the truck we rented. They stated we'd have a Colorado instead of a Silverado. No big deal we'll take it. Next we find out, they don't have that either. But they would give us a Mini-Van instead, a Dodge Journey. I really wasn't happy, there was a reason I wanted a truck going into New York City. But that wasn't all, they waited till the last minute to tell us so that every other place was so expensive they strong armed us into taking what they had. They the Ass. Manager tried telling us the Mini was more expensive than the full size truck, and he gave us a deal for the price. Even though when we initially booked the Res. they were the same price. I of course didn't appreciate that but whatever. I had my wife drive the van home, and I packed while she got ready to leave. I open the van door, and this pungent odor of Marijuana hit me in the face. So I spray the van down with odor repellant, which as you know didn't work. I open the back of the van hatch to find a Sonic bag with trash and ketchup in it. Now if you know the area you know the Sonic is about a mile up the street, and sure maybe a customer left it in it, and they didn't clean it. I think more than likely one of the employees drove it there for afternoon lunch and threw his garbage in the back. In either case, if you are looking for ghetto accommodations, at an expensive price. This place is for you. This upset me so much I posted this before I left to New York, should have been on the road already.
