Located in Oakton, Va., Oakton Elementary School serves more than 600 students in kindergarten through sixth grade. The school is a part of Fairfax County Public Schools, which serves students in kindergarten through grade 12 through its elementary, middle and high schools. The district s elementary schools offer a range of subjects, including fine arts, computer applications, English, science and social studies. Each of the district s elementary schools also provides general music education for all students in kindergarten through sixth grade, orchestra instruction in fourth grade, and band and chorus instruction in fifth grade. The school district also offers classes in communication arts and physical education for elementary-grade students. Its sports activities include baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, track and volleyball.
