We only use chemicals that have been approved by the Fire Department of New York (FDNY). We are also certified by the Office of the California State Fire Marshal.It is a Violation not to have a Flame Proofing Certification for all items in a Public Assembly Space according to the FDNY! Commercial spaces are responsible for flame retardant treatment of materials used for artistic enhancement in certain occupancies or portions of occupancies is required to hold a Certificate of Fitness. All curtains, drapes, hangings, decorations and other materials used for artistic enhancement in all public assembly areas within buildings are required to be either inherently flame resistant or treated to be flame resistant. (Chapter 8 of the FDNY FIRE CODE)! I'm from South Africa; I spent 2 weeks at this Hotel which is centrally located and offers the cheapest rates for Hotels in Central Manhaten. The Hotel doesn't offer you much more than reasonable prices so if you expect a bit more form your hotel you going to be disappointed other that that its a nice stop over. Staff could be a bit more friendlier thou. Nice Breakfast Cafe next door.
