Trying to adopt a pet at Animal Haven was an overall terrible experience. The volunteers were great but the management was anything but friendly or helpful. They did not explain processes and were practically rude. After I fell in love with an animal there, and put an application in, and went back at their request to have my pet meet the pet we were interested in adapting...they then decided to inform me that the pet we wanted already had an application in on it. They could have informed of this before we decided to move forward with the adoption. We were obviously shocked and when we asked about processes like: is it first come first serve, what are the chances etc. They only responded with we'll let you know in a few days. Overall it was a very disheartening experience and I would not recommend going to the Animal Haven if you are interested in adopting a pet.
