They do not tell news from a CT perspective as they should, they instead feel the need to incorporate a slight Boston angle or include Boston/MA/RI in their broadcast in some way, even if these areas are not in WTNH's market.

There are only TWO markets in the state if CT - the New York City market - America's largest, and Hartford (also called CT), of which WTNH is included in the latter - due to it's location. If WTNH were not in New Haven, all of New Haven County would be in the NYC market, as it should be anyway.

The Patriots and Boston sports teams are ALL out of market to the entire state of CT and should never be reported on as local to CT. Yes, CT is CALLED a so-called "New England" state, but there is no such thing as a New England market, government, metro area or anything else. The closet thing to that would be the Boston metro area, of which no part of CT is a part of.

WTNH has done many tricky and underhanded things such as creating a phony channel 9 station as to have an excuse to block out the traditional channel 9 (WWOR) from most New Haven area cable systems. They also call in to have WABC channel 7 blacked out of the New Haven area in order to try and force it to be removed from cable systems in the area.

They hate NYC because they are owned by a corporation out of RI (Linn TV) so they have an interest in trying to force CT into the Boston fold, even if it cannot exist for CT. These things fall into the category of lies and false media representation. This is why I cannot recommend this station. They should move to Hartford if they prefer Boston to NYC.

WTNH is near NY, not near MA and we should not see Patriots pre-season games as the Patriots are not a team local to CT. There is no 'in between' status for CT concerning NYC and Boston, as CT is NOT in the Boston region, but only in the NYC region.

Because of stations like WTNH, this is why CT got left off the of billing of the Super Bowl! They need to be boycotted.
