Olympia Marble and Granite. Inc. (OMG) is a fabricator, distributor, importer and installer of fine stones; marble, granite, limestone, onyx, Jerusalem stone, slate and " tumbled" or antique stone. OMG Inc. specializes in importing and distributing marble and granite from Greece, Italy, Brazil, India as well as regions in North America.For the past eighteen years, OMG is known in the New England area for the superior quality of its materials, old world craftsmanship, competitive prices and exceptional service. Our staff is experienced and is dedicated in assisting our clients in choosing the right material for their home or office environment. We encourage all of our clients to make an appointment to discuss their plans with our staff and to view and approve their materials before cutting or fabricating. Services Fabrication OMG, Inc is a leading fabricator of kitchen counter tops, vanities, tabletops, fireplaces, or any other surface where interior stone can be used. Our customers select and approve the actual slabs form our large inventory and the fabrication work is done on the premises. We are particularly proud of our craftsmen, who take the time to lay out each individual piece of stone and coordinate the colors and veining before they cut. Then, each piece is carefully examined, paying special attention to the edges, the cut outs and to the joints before it is packed for installation Our installers are the ultimate professionals. They install counter tops, vanities fireplaces and other stone products with skill, accuracy, and no mess. When the slabs meet to form a joint, our installers use specially prepared adhesives mixed with the right color as to make the joint line very fine and almost invisible. We never use grout. OMG, is responsible for all the stone work and will make every reasonable effort to please our customers. All of our installers and craftsmen work exclusively for OMG!

Olympia has been absolutely TERRIBLE. We are using them for our kitchen renovation, and they have managed to crack one piece, mis-sized two subsequent pieces, and "blew out" the faucet hole of a fourth piece of granite. The fabrication and installation were supposed to take at most two weeks from beginning to end, but we are into our fourth week and we still do not have the replacement to the piece they cracked. Not only is fabrication terrible but the customer service is almost nonexistent. TERRIBLE!

This place brings in customers because it has an excellent showroom and extensive selections. However, BE WARNED. The customer service is unbelievably bad. We shopped here (against the advice of our contractor) and selected some beautiful marble for our bathroom. They must have very inexperienced or unskilled people cutting the stone because they have cut ours wrong THREE times, and now won't return our phone calls. And when I say the cuts have been off, I mean WAY off - the seams don't meet!! They need to remove the pieces and recut, but they no longer answer our phone calls, and haven't for months. We've reported them to the Better Business Bureau, and Olympia hasn't responded to the BBB either. Clearly, they don't care.
Yes, I agree with the other reviewer that there is a bit a chaos regarding when things will be ready, delivered, proper size, unreturned phone calls. However, I got excellent advice on which stone to choose, selections were extensive, delivery was free, and mistakes were corrected with good cheer. The prices were the lowest I could find without extensive shopping. Now that the stone is set in place, I am pleased, and all of the negatives are forgiven. I think that I would use them again.
I have never bothered to write a review of a business before, but Olympia provides such poor customer service that I feel compelled. Last year, I picked out a marble piece for my fireplace hearth. When they realized the piece I chose was too small, instead of contacting me, they installed a completely different marble and width. When I confronted the owner after I realized it wasn't what I chose, he admitted the product was switched and allowed me to pick out a slab. But...come on! This year, I needed slate to match slate I purchased through Olympia 10 years ago. I went in twice, left my number twice, and was never contacted regarding whether the product came in, wasn't available, etc. I never have had to chase people to give them my money. I went to Tiles Plus More instead and received such great service at a great price. I will NEVER go back to Olympia. Other friends have similar stories of lousy customer service and product switching. It's a miracle they stay in business.
