Platinum has a reputation around Boone for misleading people on the price of a job. Do not sign a contract with them prior to having the bottom dollar amount they will charge. They will quote you a price per square foot, and then lay significantly more asphalt than you ask for or anticipate, thus tripling or quadrupling the amount the job will cost. My recommendation is to stay away from these guys. It was a hard winter on driveways, and they are taking advantage of highly trusting folks around the high country who need patchwork done.

My name is James Barton of Boone, NC. I contracted with Platinum Paving to have a driveway and a parking lot paved and was very satisfied with the proffessionalizm of their performance. Todd Whittaker, the owner, was present at the job site for the duration of the job and personally supervised his crew, which impressed me. Platinum Paving did an excellent job for me and some of my neighbors and i would highly reccommend them for and asphalt paving,repair and maintainence. They are honest, reliable and competively priced.
