I have eaten at this restaurant twice in the past year. The food is great. Last time I ate there, I ordered french fries and was shocked when I got them. They were not the store bought kind. They were actually cut by hand with the skin still on them and they were delicious. After the meal, I ordered Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie and enjoyed every bite. Since I only live a short drive from Monterey, I cannot wait to go back and enjoy some more of their delicious food and hospitality.

High's Restaurant was established in 1934 and houses two chefs. Monday through Thursday, Celebrity Chef Christian Brown (Cutthroat Kitchen and featured Culinary Expert) prepares his Gourmet Menu with offerings presented on the popular network. Chef C.B.'s menu may include his delicious meatloaf, stuffed local trout, Maple Rib Eye Steak, Steak and Cheese, and many over-sized sandwiches prepared on his home made breads. Friday through Sunday, Scottish Chef, Barry Neave, provides the traditional High's fare including fresh burgers, local trout, steaks, seafood, pasta, salads, and fajitas. Diners will frequent High's to treat themselves to Chef Barry's homemade cakes and pies, or experience our famous shakes and hand-dipped ice cream novelties, such as our Fire and Ice (Ice Cream Set Ablaze).
