Minnesota Energy Resources is a natural gas utility firm serving over 211,000 customers in Minnesota. It transports approximately 76 billion cubic feet of natural gas annually across the distribution system, with approximately two-thirds of that volume flowing to large volume customers. It operates in 51 counties and 165 communities throughout Minnesota. The company offers various services, such as billing, payment, start or stop service, natural gas rates and programs energy information system. About 45 percent of the capital expense of the company relates to integrity projects that include repair and replacement of the system, costs associated with moving network assets in response to state and local road projects. Minnesota Energy Resources purchases supplies and materials through the supply chain services at its parent company, Integrys Energy Group.
