excellent food! charming atmosphere......100% Italian!!!!!!!!!

we were looking for a restaurant serving good Italian food in Melbourne (my son being part owner of an Italian restaurant up north, and my daughter inlaw being italian) and we think we found it! the decor was modest, as were the prices, but the food was what mattered to us the most: the lasagna was terrific, as was the generous sicilian pizza, the stuffed shells and the seafood over linguini. Salvo, the chef and owner, bakes his own bread on the premises, and it is superb! by the way, don't forget to order the bruschetta to get started; we loved it! the wine list was almost nonexistent, so we ordered the imported italian beer moreti. we plan to go back when we are back in town again to try other dishes. 8/31/2007.
