Long Island Breastfeeding is currently providing private breastfeeding classes for expecting families, labor support, placenta encapsulation, lactation consultations and post partum support. We can also arrange for small group classes that still remain intimate and individualized. We can also help moms with baby products, registry help, baby care....and pretty much any thing else mama-baby related!

Lindsey Rene Murphy is an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) providing breastfeeding consultations and other breastfeeding related services to families in Long Island, NY. She provides both prenatal and post partum consultations, to both new moms and experienced ones. Lindsey typically sees patients at home, but also sees patients at her office in Garden City and her home office in Massapequa. In September 2011 (prior to being accredited as an IBCLC), she founded the Facebook group "Modern Tribal Mamas", which is a forum for new and seasoned mothers to share their thoughts, advice, stories, questions, etc. on topics like pregnancy, birthing, breastfeeding, co-sleeping, and baby wearing (just to name a few). The group currently has over 1500 active members, and generates roughly 80-120 posts per day.
