Operational for more than 25 years, Lynn Water and Sewer Commission was established by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The commission provides public health and environment education, portable water and wastewater treatment services. A service organization, it provides information through radio, television and newspapers, Lynn Health Department and Massachusetts Departments of Public Health and Environmental Protection. The commission also provides online information about state and federal agency s standards, discolored water, harmful chemicals, and watersheds. Located in Lynn, Mass., it serves more than 50,000 customers in Saugus, Nahant and Swampscott, Mass. The commission treats more than 30 million-gallons of sewage water every day.
