Provided by YPmobileI took my 9 year old German Shepherd in to be seen after she was hurt in a fight. The staff was very friendly, professional, made myself & Milady feel right at home. Milady is a rescue & doesn’t trust easily but felt completely at ease with everyone she met. We decided to try to cold laser treatment for her injury & she was running & playing by the time we got home & is back to being her old self. I highly recommend Safari & their entire staff & will be bringing my older rescues that require more in-depth treatments to them. Being a nonprofit rescue I am always looking for top quality veterinary care for my dogs but at an affordable price. Safari rates are a little high but the additional cost is worth it especially since they also specialize in stem cell treatment for hip dysphasia. Being a German Shepherd rescue our dogs are prone to suffer from hip dysphasia & knowing that I can now have them treated with a procedure that could help them live a long pain free life has sold me on Safari & I’ve already started recommending them to others that need specialized treatments. Thank you Dr. Garner, Dr. Klages, Dr. Willis & staff! 🐾❤️🐾

Provided by YP.comTerrible Very rude and unprofessional vet! Will never take my pet there again. I don't know how Dr. Garner can boast all of his accomplishments when he hasn't mastered how to be a polite and respectful individual. Being courteous to pet owners must not be in the veterinary oath!!!

Provided by YP.comI really love this place. I have had nothing but the most wonderful experience every time I take my Yorkie for visits. They treated my little Dino like a family member.

Provided by YP.comI don't really have experience with the Veterinarians crew but I do have experience with the adoption guys. They are super nice and very helpful.

Provided by YP.comEvery time I got here I have the best experience. The receptionist are always full of smiles and are always willing to help with any questions or concerned. They always take such good care of my animals. Even when I can hear then through the door of the exam room they are talking sweet to them and the doctors are always professional. Except for the older man with glasses. He never looks you in the eye and his conversations are awkward and he didn't even look at my kittens file before he came in the exam room. He told me I had to go home and wait for a fecal sample when I had already brought one. The look on the vet techs face shows they feel awkward around him too. But the other vets are very intelligent and kind. I definitely recommend going there.

Provided by YPmobileSafari Vet is truly awful. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE. Unorganized, extremely long wait times and one of the vet techs acted like I knew literally nothing about my dog. They overcharge you too. I actually overheard an employee casually say that she hit a dog that was not behaving perfectly. ARE YOU KIDDING?! Never ever should you place your hands on any pet in an aggressive manner when someone is PAYING YOU to take proper care of the pet. Bottom line this place especially is the worst.

Provided by YP.comI have known Dr. Garner for many years, and can truly say that he is an excellent doctor with outstanding skills. He has the knowledge and expertise to treat and take care of any pet that you may have. Dr. Garner is a teacher, and trains his staff to be the very best. I recently was in Safari with a problem with a leopard geiko. Dr. Garner diagnosed and treated the geiko immediatedly. His staff followed the treatment plan, and called me daily with updates. The geiko is now @ home, and is much improved. Again, I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Garner and his staff. Safari Veterinary Care Ctr. should be top on your list for the care and treatment of all of your pets.

Provided by YP.comDr Garner and Dr. Mooney have taken care of my animals for about 10 years -. I find them to be honest and caring. Their expertise is beyond reproach.

Provided by YP.comOur pet was diagnosed as having Parvo at another vet clinic. The treatment was hospitalization and IV fluids. But they would not allow us to visit our pet during the hospitalization. I took my pet to Safari and they modified her therapy based on blood tests that showed her white count to be too low. They allowed us to visit any time we wanted.

Provided by YP.comMy Dachshund had eaten part of her pet bed and I had been treating her at another vet in the area for the past two weeks. I finally took her to Safari who did x-rays and a Barium series and identified obstruction of the intestine from the stomach all the way through the intestines. I felt so bad for my Lola but I could not afford the surgery. I was going to have to put her down but Dr. Garner at Safari offered to do the surgery to save my pets life for free. She is back home now as happy as ever.

Provided by YP.comDr. Garner performed surgery on my dog that was recommended by another vet and allowed me to pay out the bill. When I could not pay the bill in full because of situations beyond my control, I called Dr. Garner and he forgave the bill in total. For this I am and will always be his best client.

Provided by YP.comMy dog “Buddy” came to Safari for grooming and they did not have to muzzel him! This is so unusual as “Buddy” is not normally nice at the grooming parlor but Safari staff are so professional and kind that it calmed Buddy so that he just stood there and let himself be groomed.

Provided by YP.comI just moved to the area and did not have a vet. My apartment manager gave me a Magnet from Safari. My Great Dane bloated in the middle of the night and Dr. Garner and his staff met me at the Safari hospital and he did emergency surgery on my dog. He relieved the pressure of the bloated stomach on my pets heart and blood flow and then attached the stomach to a rib to prevent this rotation and bloat from happening again. Thanks go out to the highly skilled team at Safari for saving my pets life.

Provided by YP.comAlbus was boarded at Safari and I was very worried that he would go crazy as he is so high strung. Safari placed him in their puppy daycare room with other hyper puppies and he had a blast. They then texted me a video of Albus having the time of his life. I have never been so relieved about leaving my pet.

Provided by YP.comToby came in after running on the beach in Galveston and had blisters and ulcers on his feet. Safari used the therapeutic laser on the feet and it gave him immediate relief. I cannot think of a more innovative therapy option and I am glad I went to Safari first.

Provided by YP.comWe boarded our rat at Safari and were delighted to receive text pictures of his care while there. The Safari staff played with him and cared for him as if he was their own.

Provided by YP.comMy cat had been losing weight and having difficulty eating. My previous vet had given cortizone shots that helped but were not enough and he referred me to a specialist in the Galleria area. I heard Dr. Garner was a specialist and went to him. It was so refreshing to have a vet that was so informative and confident about how to treat and cure my Izzy. She has now had her surgery and is eating up a storm and has gained her first pound back.

Provided by YP.comKimber was treated with intensive care, oxygen and tireless attention. She had a fatal disease that no one could have saved her from but Caitlin at Safari and Dr. Garner gave all their heart toward her care. Caitlin took Kimber home and was up with her all night. After Kimber passed Dr. Garner built a fine wooden casket himself for the funeral we had that was attended by 75 people. Caitlin attended the ceremony. We are heartbroken about the loss of Kimber but know Safari went above and beyond in their care for her.

Provided by YP.comI want to say that this clinic is one of the most AWESOMEST clinics I have ever known. I brought in an injured turtle today that I found on the road and I have to say that the staff there are so wonderful. From the girl sitting at the desk, to the absolutely great technician that helped me to the most God sent doctor (Dr. Garner) that treated this turtle. Due to this being a turtle and not a pet of mine, I was concerned about how much treatment was going to be needed and the cost. He just swooped right in and took this turtle and tended to him. No questions asked. It is very VERY rare that you find someone that is willing to put his heart into something that would seem so trivial to anyone else. I mean, it is just a turtle. But he didn't see it that way
