BCI Properties is the Devil Reincarnate! They put my family on the street with barely any notice and no time to look for a new house to rent...this after being a great tenant for almost 2 years! And paying my rent on time! They also showed up on a Saturday bright and early with NO notice to paint the house! Save your family misery and stay away from any BCI managed properties. As an active duty officer, I won't let any of my Soldiers go within 50 feet of a BCI property. Warning to my fellow Soldiers!

Thank you Don and team for getting this terrible tenant out of my property. This company is not perfect, but I have never seen anyone work so hard to do the right thing by me as an owner. It is sad to see how unhappy owners and tenants will give bad reviews but not think of a good review when happy. You have my vote for best manager in Tacoma.

We home owners take had no choice but to rent. Don Leski made A LOT of empty promises to gain our property as a source of income. I had to constantly push Don and his team to insure the maintenance was being kept up with in my NEW property. There are major management issues within his office, and this is noticeable because of how many employees he goes through. I have come to realize that this company has not been truthful with either side of the lease agreement. Now that BCI is out of the equation I'm left trying to patch things up with my tenants BCI has been preying on. I can NOT believe that a company that sells only a service and not a product pursued getting an LLC. And this my friends, should have been my first red flag.... There is so much more to say but certainly not enough time or space for it. BCI ( Don Leski) is bad business don't do it....now speaking with our tenants and reviewing the receipts from BCI we are seeing nothing matching up in anyway..If you have to hire a management company this is NOT it. My twelve year old son could do a better job of 'managing' property by playing his video games...

Ps I gave one star because otherwise I couldn't post this review. A negative rating is in order.

They are not a good company to do business with. The home I moved into was trashed. Certainly not my expectation upon moving into a home. Upon move out I had the home professionally cleaned and provided them with the receipt. They did not return my security deposit because the home was in need of "light cleaning" and "carpet deodorization." This home was professionally cleaned and they still felt the need to keep an extra $1000 in their pocket for cleaning which wasn't necessary. If the condition of the home upon my move in was any indication, they probably pocketed that money as well and didn't do any cleaning. Do not trust this company unless you want to make a financial donation to them for actually cleaning when they fail to.

We own a home in Graham, Wa. and were put in a position where we had to decide whether to sell our home (whilst taking a significant loss) or rent it out because we were relocating to another state for work. After speaking with Don Leske, we felt comfortable with the idea of renting for the time being. We had a little over a week to get moved out and make all the necessary arrangements to have BCI manage our property and let me just say, they were on the ball! A very kind and intelligent agent came out to my house, took photos and helped me through all the paperwork. Although there were a few hiccups because our original agent left BCI, our house was rented within less than a week after being advertised. Don took over our property initially and then it was placed in the care of Kris Harmon.



Unfortunately, our first tenants turned out to be irresponsible and unable to pay rent. After trying effortlessly to work with the tenant, we ended up having to pursue an eviction. Before the eviction process was even complete Kris not only began to show our home, but also lined up a new tenant.



My husband and I knew that there was quite a bit of liability involved in renting our home as there is no guarantee that things will work as smoothly as they should and having said that we place zero blame on BCI for having to deal with some pretty terrible tenants. Applications contingent on credit approval as well as a background investigation were completed. There was absolutely no way for anyone to know that things would turn out the way they did and who knows- maybe the tenant encountered unexpected financial loss. Regardless of the underlying reason, all I can say is that I am so grateful to have had Kris's assistance through all of this. He is a pleasure to work with and worked diligently to collect back-owed rent, followed by the eviction and then even found us some new tenants!!! He is always positive and quick to return phone calls as well as respond to any concerns that we have.



I would highly recommend BCI to anyone in Pierce County in search of a property management company!

The rental house is very nice,...

The rental house is very nice, at first glance. There are ants, leaking pipes, glass in the backyard, water heater went out twice! Shut off notice for water, which landlord was supposed to be paying for. An eviction notice twice now due to their company's accountant/finance error. To top it off Kris the guy who showed me the house hung up on me when I called to ask about second eviction notice. If its too late to answer work calls then turn off your phone don't answer and hang up on folks. Owner Don didnt return phone call. Lady who works at office, reception, B$&@! I am from a military family, do not rent from this company!!! My house burnt down was left to choose quickly or live in hotel. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS CO. REPoRTING TO BBB!!!

The Insurance company was paying the tenants rent after their house burned down, but when they failed to pay an automatic 3-Day Notice to Pay or Quit is always issued. The tenant got mad at us, but they should have been mad at their Insurance company who failed to pay the rent for them. --- Also, how could we have known that they hot water tank would go out? We did respond as we should. --- The water company does not send us bills nor late notices, they just shut off the water if its not paid. Kris should not have hung up on James or his wife, no matter what. The only thing that would mitigate this is apparently it was 11pm at night when Mrs. Clark called getting all upset on the phone with this poor guy. Kris answered thinking it was an emergency, but getting a notice to pay your rent is NOT an emergency. Moral of the story is, when your Insurance company or any other 3rd party does not pay your rent for you....., expect a notice. It does not mean you will be evicted.

Don Leski is a CRIMINAL. DO NOT RENT HERE!!!! they REFUSED to send a professional out to clean up mass amounts of MOLD that caused me severe health problems. they WILL do anything and everything to get your money, including breaking the law. if your looking for cheap rent, look somewhere else. cheap rent isn't worth your life

Please note; this tenant had spilt beer and other liquids on the new carpet and did not clean it up, left a real mess for us to clean up so we refused to refund their deposit when they moved out .....of course, but look at her other posting which used a different account but still Cayla.

Very happy tenant :)

I moved to Washington from Florida to get married to my husband who is stationed here on fort lewis and after almost a month of looking for a place to live we found bci. He has very bad credit because of a past relationship and no one else would even look at our applications. To be honest, when he first showed me the apartment, I was skeptical, but on moving in I realized that this really is a nice place to live. They are always on top of any repairs we need done and the repair man is very polite. I love this apartment and I am dreading when my husband gets his orders meaning we will have to leave.

We were the first to look at a house (according to the property manager we met up with)



We were excited it was a good house for us so we got a money order for the background check told them we wanted it filled out paper work etc.



Finally a week later after the property manager was supposed to get a hold of us we called their office and found out they decided to rent to someone else. They said they didn't cash our money order for the background check and that they would mail it back to us which is why they get two stars instead of one but I am still very disappointed that the property manager led us on and then took the house and rented it to someone else when we have waited all that time thinking we have found a acceptable and accommodating house for my family and I.

Yes that did happen. I fired the employee who was responsible, not much else I could do at the time. In hind site I could have offered another rental and maybe $200 toward UHaul costs. ?
