BAD CRAB!!!

BAD CRAB! BAD CRAB! BAD CRAB! BAD CRAB! BAD CRAB! BAD CRAB!

I have eaten at the Crab Pot a few times prior to tonight’s experience. In the past, I have been happy with the food and the service, but my recent visit was another story.

I ordered the combination crab dinner, "crab, crab, crab". The Dungeness crab had a strong ammonia smell, and unfortunately I ate a leg before I realized that the bad smell I was experiencing was coming from my crab!

When I realized that it was indeed my crab that smelled of ammonia, I called the manager over to alert him of the situation. The manager listened to my comments, took the crab leg, and walked towards the kitchen. Upon his return, the manager told me that both he and one of the cooks felt that the crab was fine. I sort of laughed and said, "Are you serious? How can you smell that and tell me it's ok?” I then opened another crab leg, which also smelled like ammonia, and asked him what he thought. Again, the manager acted as though I was crazy. He did offer to bring me more crab or give me a complimentary desert, which was good, but don't you think it would have been better to just admit the crab was bad??? Anybody ever heard the saying, "the customer is always right"? The manager basically said that I don't know what I'm talking about and we can agree to disagree. BAD SERVICE!!!

In conclusion, I wouldn't say don’t ever go to this restaurant, but I would be careful of the potentially bad crab you may receive here. When it comes to seafood, trust your nose not an idiotic restaurant manager!

BAD CRAB! BAD CRAB! BAD CRAB! BAD CRAB! BAD CRAB! BAD CRAB!
