I've been purchasing my plants and seeds from Knoxville Seed for years. Always excellent quality and outstanding service. I've been vegetable gardening for 40 years, and I have had mishaps with transplants on occasion, most always my fault. It is obvious that the person with the bad cucumber plant doesn't know how to properly care for it. They can be quite delicate. Plus, you can grow cucumbers easier from seed directly in soil when the soil temperature reaches the mid 60s than from transplants, and you can buy a packet of 25 seeds for about the cost of one plant, if not less.

Bought 3 cucumber plants from Knoxville Seed & Greenhouse. All 3 died within 9 days. (Yes, I watered and nursed them in my window sill). Bought them early to get a good selection. When I tried to exchange plants, manager got very nasty. He accused me of not watering them and not setting plants out immediately. I was not going to set them out with a frost warming. Please!. I paid top price for quality plants. I got diseased cucumber plants. This was my first and last transaction with Knoxville Seed & Greenhouse.
