      I want to warn anyone against doing any business with Florida Home Associations and its realtor, Frank Veliz, or his business partner Mike Spears for the following reasons.

      Frank Veliz and Mike Spears who are owners of Straight Line Investment Professionals, LLC and my company EAC started a Joint Venture where they would help us find, buy, fix up, and rent out investment properties in and around Orlando, Florida. In the first half of 2015, we bought two properties together, a 4-plex (602 Emma Street, Lakeland, FL) and a duplex (1215 Avenue L, Haines City, FL) that Frank represented to be excellent rentals. They have turned out to be extremely poor properties in dangerous neighborhoods. We paid Frank and Mike over $40K to repair these properties. After the supposed rehabs, Frank failed to rent the properties out and he became harder and harder to contact. We hired another property management company who visited the properties and found that Frank Veliz and Mike Spears had done extremely poor or no rehab at all. Moreover, in the duplex Frank and Mike has been taking rent from a Senior Citizen all in cash without receipts threatening her eviction if she did not pay in cash and has been pocketing the money themselves. In the 4-plex, Frank and Mike gave the keys to a drug dealer and has been collecting money from them knowing that they were dealing drugs in this property.

      We are at this time bringing suit against Frank Veliz, Mike Spears, Straight Line Investment Professionals, LLC and Florida Home Association for breach of contract. We are also reporting Frank and Florida Home Association to the Florida Realtor Commission. Then we will be contacting the Florida State Attorney’s office for Frank Veliz and Mike Spears actively scamming a Senior Citizen and the Polk County Sheriff’s Department for knowingly harboring and assisting in drug dealing.
