I work there from the late 90s till 2005. I definitely recommend checking the place out. Also new merchandise updated daily so if they didn't have it yesterday that doesn't mean they won't have what you're looking for today. 30 years almost in the same location that speaks for itself.

I shop around at a lot of pawn shops and this one by far exceeds them all. Great customer service, awesome prices and warranties that they DO HONOR. I would recommend this shop to anyone. They deserve 5 stars.

Wow, I truly cannot understand how a business with such shady business practices is still in business? So what's shady? let's see, team of dumpster divers who travel to business to business collecting product to resell in the stores that has actually come out of the trash. If such a product cannot be fully tested, (ie missing components, or broken because it had already been thrown in the trash), is still sold on the shelves because of the practice: "if its broke the customer will bring it back and they don't or are forget about our short return policy then we still make money).
Another shady business practice: I came in to pawn jewelry and was quoted a very unfair price for a platinum, two ct diamond ring, retail $3400 and offered $80. So I figured I would try the other pawnshops around the corner. Before I left however, I was in squatting down looking at the stereos they had on the floor and I just couldn't believe what I had heard. The Employee Mike (something) call the pawnshop around the corner and said: hey, I've got a customer here who might bring a ring over to pawn, offer $80.
After a quick look online through the state's public records I found that the owner owns all of the pawn shops in that area. So in other words If you are offered money for an item to sell or pawn at Dunn Pawn then you will be offered the same amount of money at the next 3 closest pawn shops.
One last shady business practice, or perhaps it's more of a health risk, of Dunn Pawn and I had personally overheard this straight from an employee whom I had overheard talking to someone in the back. Apparently you can buy more than just car stereo equipment at Dunn Pawn but also inject-able anabolic steroids. The store employee I overheard said: Yeah he's got plenty of juice but you will have to get your own needles at CVS. Now I've been a gym rat for many many years and I know what they mean by injecting juice. You would think they would be a little more discrete but then again if you're making a lot of profit then who cares right?

This place has changed since the last time I was here a few years ago, very inviting and the guys are down to earth. They really do work with you on prices! Will do business again.

I was referred here by a friend to purchase a sound system and get it installed in my truck. I don't know a lot about stereos, but the staff was very knowledgeable and took the time put me in the right sound system that i wanted and not just sell me anything. The installation was very professionally done and well put together, and had my truck sounding amazing! I will definitely shop with them again!

This is a very bad place to buy or sell. They will not honor the return policy so, regardless if they tell you that you can return something, you cannot. Buyer Beware. Jax has many reputable pawn shops. This is not one of them. You are better to travel to westside or southside for your buying and selling needs. Stay away from this and the surrounding shops. They are all owned by the same person.
