In response to the one star review that Riverside Pawn, Inc received claiming racism...this is very unfortunate and couldn't be further from the truth. As an African American and a military veteran who is employed by the company, I can say that without a shadow of a doubt that this company promotes diversity across the board with people of color and women placed in key management positions. In addition, I've known the owner for nearly 20 years and I can say without any mental reservation that he's one of the most fair and decent men I've ever met in my 30 years living and he can certainly navigate his way on that side of town...while racial tensions remain at an all time high in this country, this is certainly not the case at Riverside Pawn. We love all of our customers and we treat them with the utmost respect regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, economic status, etc. An offer was made that day, and the customer simply balked at the offer. To quickly blame racism as the culprit to why a deal wasn't struck is meritless, unfair and just untrue.

IF YOU ARE AFRICAN AMERICAN BEWARE!!! MY HUSBAND AND I ATTEMPTED TO SELL SOME SHOES(JORDANS, TIMBERLANDS). EVEN THOUGH HE DOES BUY SHOES HE TURNED US ALONG WITH TWO OTHER BLACK PEOPLE!!!! CAUCASIAN CUSTOMERS WERE STANDING AROUND LOOKING SCARED AND HESITANT WHEN WE ENTERED, ONE LADY EVEN TOOK HER BABY OUTSIDE AFTER WE WALKED IN!!!! CLEARLY THEY ARE ON THE WRONG SIDE OF TOWN!!!!!!!!!!
