I went there recently and it was a horrible experience. The lady cursed in front of my family for i dont know what, and when I picked up my dog they added extra charges that they didn't inform me of. What's worse is that the woman up front selected a more expensive package that I did not select and when it came time to pick up my dog and pay she yelled at me, then my mom, when we asked for a breakdown of the price. We didn't know what to do to get this lady to calm down so we just told her it's fine, paid and left. After some calculations (we added in the price for the expensive package that we didn't pick, and also, the extra $10 charge for "holding down" my ten pound chihuahua.(?)) we ended up paying $10 over. We have no idea what those $10 were for. Coming home, we noticed my dog was bleeding a bit from his back. We have no idea where that came from either. We are never going back again.

I have gone to Whiskers N Pets a number of times, but I always leave with additional charges that they seem to sneak in without telling you. Before the last time, I didn’t ask for a Private Room and they charged the higher Free Cage rate without asking beforehand. So, the last time, I specifically asked for a Private Room. They really tried to sell me on the Free Cage, but I didn’t want it. I couldn’t believe it; they still placed him in the Free Cage and charged me for it. They don’t give an itemized list of charges and you have to beg to find out what you are getting charged for. I don’t like that they didn’t call for approval to change the room. It is unprofessional and unethical. I don’t trust them and will not return.

Worst experience ever! I recently moved to the southbay from OC and needed a local place to leave my dog for 9 days. So I decided to give Whiskers N' Tails a try. My dog has never had any issues with boarding or dayare. He is a people person and doesn't mind getting dropped off with others. I dropped him off on a Saturday with a box of wet food and a new bag of food which last a month or more. When I picked him up the following week I was given an almost empty bag of food which seemed very weird since it usally lasts me a month or more and I know he is a picky eater. So I asked about his eating habits while he was there and I was told oh he ate fine no problem. SO then I told her I was surprised since he could be very picky at times. She then said oh yea well some times he wouldn't eat. So my question is why did I get an almost empty bag of dog food? The bag lasts me a month or more...how can it be gone in 9 days especially since he wasn't eating all the time? After I paid they brought my dog out (Maltipoo) he was very hiper which was also weird. He should have been pretty calm after being in a daycare playing with other dogs for 9 days don't you think? He also smelled like pee and it was so bad that the smell stayed on my clothes. As soon as we walked out he need to use the bathroom guess they hadn't even taken him out to potty. He was also very thirsty and hungry when we got home and he had big clumps of dried tears on both of his eyes. I've never seen him in such a bad shape. It took him a few days to get back to normal. I don't believe he was being fed well since he was so hungry his first week back. When I took him to the groomers he was scared and didn't want to stay. He was never afraid of being left anywhere which makes me wonder how he was actually treated while he was at Whiskers N' Tails. I will never leave my dog there again. I can't believe that I paid as much as I did to have my dog neglected for 9 days.

Virginia and her staff are very educated and they go the extra mile to teach you things about pets. The place is always clean and my dog smells fresh and clean for weeks after he gets a bath there. I have to be careful when I drive up because he always wants to jump out of the car to get inside!
