Companion Animal Hospital & Boarding Center is a full service veterinary hospital and boarding facility.They offer climate controlled kennels in Fort Walton Beach for dogs and cats. Our kennel boarding has outdoor exercise area for large & small dogs. Types of Pets Seen:Dogs, Cats, Rabbits* Reptiles* Services limited, Birds* Services limited to beak, wing & nail trims . Companion Animal Hospital and Boarding Center operates an open hospital. This means that our team welcomes owners to be with their animals during any medical procedure, whether a simple vaccination or a complex surgery. This clinic is owned by Dr. Hartley and Dr. Epperson and is called Companion Animal Hospital & Boarding Center. They offer small animal internal medicine & surgery, dentistry, radiology, ophthomology, dermatology, and preventive medicine.

These guys are absolutely amazing. They go so above and beyond to make sure our babies are healthy and well taken care of. I can't even count how many times they fit us in last minute when something happens and my dogs need to he seen. Also, they often will check back and see how my dogs are if they came in sick or injured. The doctors are a husband and wife team and you can tell they love what they do. The doctors, techs, and receptionists are very caring, friendly, and knowledgeable. I can't recommend them enough!!!
Awesome Vets! My entire family has been taking our pets to this animal hospital from day 1. The quality of staff and the complete feeling of family is second to none. You will not receive better care anywhere else. I would recommend and have recommended them to all my family and friends.
Awesome vet clinic! My pets love coming to visit and get treats from the wonderful staff. They have helped me and my pets through many illnesses and I am very thankful for their support and treatment to get my babies better... not to mention at a fair price!
I just returned home to Kentucky from a trip to Ft. Walton Beach. I have a 12 1/2 year old Yorkshire terrier that has gone literally everywhere with me and, with him in renal failure, I was naturally concerned about taking him on this trip. After searching the Internet and then talking to several at Companion , I felt comfortable enough in knowing that if we got into trouble while there, he would be in very good hands. This was an understatement. Subcutaneous fluids had to be administered to Pokey several times throughout the week, but only after my veterinarian in Ky. was requested by Companion to fax past records. I appreciate the fact that Companion's policy is strict in regard to not seeing animals that are not current on all vaccinations, thus eliminating exposure for various diseases. But throughout the week, the compassion and professionalism was evident everywhere I looked---from the front desk to the wonderful boarding facility in the back---and all immaculately clean. I can't say enough good of Dr. Michael Epperson. I was so impressed with the time he took to, first of all, listen to me and then explain everything he was doing and why. The entire staff at Companion is extremely knowledgeable and respectful, and totally committed to doing the very best they can in caring for their patients. I sincerely appreciate a facility of this caliber. Fort Walton is so lucky to have this wonderful establishment in its community. A very special thank you to Dr. Michael Epperson, Amanda and each staff member at Companion Animal Hospital and Boarding Facility. Great staff & great veterinarians! All 3 doctors are very compassionate about pets and providing the the best care possible. Very reasonable pricing for the personalized care my pet receives.

I have lived in Fort Walton for 9 years and have never found a vet that I felt comfortable with. I so was pleased with the facility itself, all the staff, and the price I paid, I feel so happy to have a great place to take my dogs. Not to mention they give a military discount, Im thankful for the good service and reasonable price.
Highly recommend this hospital and their doctors. One of our dogs got suspected canine flu and they called daily to check on him and update us about what to do. They were very concerned about his health and kept us informed about the disease emerging in our area. Dr. Hartley even called us on Friday and Sarurday and offered to make house call if needed. Dr. Epperson and Dr. Hartley are wonderful people and amazing vets who truly care.
My husband and I can say nothing but wonderful things about Dr. Epperson and Dr. Hartley. They have been fantastic with our three dogs, even going so far as to take one of them to their own home overnight when they were concerned about a possible reaction to a medication. I've never had vets so caring and supportive. They explain things fully and always answer all of our questions thoroughly and thoughtfully. We drive all the way from Baker so that we can take our dogs to see them. Any time I can, I tell people to take their dogs there, we've never been disappointed! And the staff is just as great, friendly and knowledgeable! They spoil our guys rotten and we can't say thank you enough. :)
These doctors are the BEST. They have taken care of my pets for years and there are no words that can explain the care and concern they give their patients and the parents of the patients. The prices are fair and the facility is clean and the staff is always friendly and professional. Drs Epperson and Hartley are just wonderful in every aspect.

Our dog was examined thoroughly, had the necessary lab and x-rays done right there in their office and they were able to give us a diagnosis. It is because of these two wonderful vets and their outstanding staff that our Miniature Scnauzer is alive today to celebrate his first birthday. It has been almost six weeks since our dog's emergency and Dr. Hartley still checks in to see how he is doing. Dr. Hartley is more than a VET, she is a friend of our's for life.M. DettelbachCary, NC
