Provided by DexKnowsOur beloved Chihuahua, Lucy, died on December 16, 2011. Our primary vet had diagnosed her with an ear infection. As she began to wobble more, we became more agressive with our care, visiting the vet weekly! We were constantly told that she had an ear infection. One Sunday night, she got real bad and couldn't walk, so we took her to Emergency Veterinary Clinic. The vet spent 45 minutes with her and confirmed the infection but recommended visiting a neurologist. Sadly, we didn't go to the neurologist due to cost and our primary vet's assurance that it was just her ear. On Dec. 16th, we came home to find Lucy unresponsive. Our primary care vet simply told us that it looked like a brain tumor and we had "to put it down". Yes, my Lucy had been reduced to "it". We went to EVC for a second opinion. Sadly, the diagnosis was the same, but the compassion was 100x better. Care and empathy were in full effect during end of life care.THANK YOU, EVC!

Provided by DexKnowsI had no choice but to take my 17 year old Himalayan cat to an emergency vet, and this was the only one I knew. She had what appeared to be a stroke and was in distress, and I knew she would not make it through the night so that I could get her to my own vet. So I took her to this clinic knowing I would have to put her to sleep. My kindest words about this place is that it is dispassionate, heartless, and cold. The "technician" (not even sure if he was a DVM) would not allow me to be in the room when he put the IV catheter into her little arm. I wonder why? Over the last 30 years, with each of my cats and dogs, I have never been asked to leave the room and, in fact, held my dying animals while they were euthanized. I was disgusted with the way this technician treated me and my pet, and warn you to go anywhere else but here. I have since found other emergency vets in the area and will be prepared if I ever am faced with a pet emergency again.

Provided by DexKnowsI went to this vet and they were great. They showed great care and concern for my dog. They are very kind and compassionate for all the patients that were there along with us. They stabilized my dog and took care of him all night until I could take him to my regular vet. They are great

Provided by DexKnowsI was at this clinic on Sunday night my dog got hit by a car and had a broken leg, The fisrt thing, was as he was bleeding he was the last one to be seen when all the other dogs got seen first and they were not in an emergency situation at all. As I complaint they put us into a room after 30 minutes waiting they came in and took a look at my dog he had a really bad fracture the doctor was a jerk his name is Martin he suggested that we put our 3 year old dog to sleep because he had a broken leg that could only be fix with a very expensive surgery, he only cared about the money they want it to charged for everything they want it to charged me $100.00 for putting him to sleep $100.00 so they keep the body unless I want it to take my dog's body home and also $50.00 if I want it to seat with my dog to watched him die. I would never in my live go back there I took my dog home clean his paw they did not even do that after I paid $300.00 THEY DID NOTHING FOR MY DOG.

Provided by DexKnowsWe recently took our Siberian Husky to them, because she got ahold of a Cane Toad. When the doctor examined her he had no idea what was wrong with her. Since she is quite old he figured it was something to with her age and wanted to nearly $1000 worth of test. By this time she had vomited from the hydrogen peroxide we had given her and she was starting to feel better. Fortunatly my wife is quite savy and told them we could get the test from our regular vet for a lot less money. It was obvious they were far more interested in the money than in caring for our dog. So unless you have a lot of money to throw away and not very interested in the care your dog or cat receives I would not recommend this vet. By the way we took her to our vet and she is in fine. They also agreed that she got ahold of a toad.

Provided by YP.comThis emergency clinic is the best! I have had to use their services 3 times in the past 3 years. My last experience was a doxie who was bit by a pygmy rattler. They saved her life. The staff and doctors are very caring and compassionate. They kept me informed as to her recovery. It was expensive but if you take the time to seek your animal emergency care you must be willing to spend the money. It is reasons like this that I purchased pet insurance.
