This training provided her with strong knowledge in Primary Care/Internal Medicine as well as specialties including Diabetes, Urology, Rheumatology, and Palliative care. Meagan is also a Certified DOT Medical Examiner and Certified in Medication Assisted Therapy for Opiate Use Disorder.

She earned her Registered Nurse credentials and continued her studies to become a Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Master’s Degree in Advanced Practice Nursing from Western Connecticut State University, and is certified through the American Nurse Credentialing Center as an Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner.

After graduating with honors and having been named the Honorary 100,000th graduate of the State University of New York at Albany in 1994, he pursued his medical degree at the Albany Medical College, in Albany, New York. Graduating in 1998, he continued his internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York.

It was through this experience where she identified the correlation between diet and its direct consequences in mental disorders. Inspired by the power of nutrition, she enrolled in the University of Bridgeport’s Human Nutrition Institute, from where she graduated with a Masters in Clinical Nutrition.
