In 07/2010, I visited DDS Gail Belvett to get a simple filling done. The tooth she filled was done incorrectly. I had to get this tooth extracted because she drilled to close to the nerve. I reported her to the N.C. Dental Examiners. She refunded my cost for the extraction and my cost for her fee(s). However she was not made to pay for an implant I had to get to replace the missing tooth. This cost me $5,000.00. Needless to say I wasn't her only victim. There have been other unfortunate patients who have suffered similar fates. Patronize this dentist at your own risk.

Southpoint Family Dentistry, Dr. Belvett's practice is the best dental experience I have ever had in my life. All staff from the receptionist to the Hygenists, to Dr. Belvett make it a priority to be sure their patients are comfortable and well cared for. I was used to "old time" dentists when I lived in Florida and I had never gotten anything free, like a toothbrush, since I was a child. Stepping into Dr. Belvitt's, I stepped into the current century! First time, ever, that I had been offered laughing gas. Also, even as an adult, I appreciate the free samples after the cleanings of a toothbrush, floss, etc. Glad to be a patient here.

Dr. Belvett and the staff of Southpoint Family Dentistry are very professional, knowledgeable and caring.I was referred by my orthodontist to this practice for dental maintenance and care,three years ago and have been very pleased with the level of attention that my son and I have recieved. This practice has accomodated my son's college schedule seeing him when he is home on breaks ensuring that his dental health is attended to during the hectic college years. I,personally believe in PAIN FREE dentistry and Dr Belvett has provided me that experience during ALL my dental appointments including the ones for major dental work such as a crown and a dental implant!

This is a wonderful dental practice and I recommend them often and highly.

This is by far the best dentist I've ever had! Dr. Belvett genuinely cares about my dental health and I've never experienced teeth cleanings that are so focussed and attentive to detail. They're also willing to educate or discuss with me additional things that I can do in order to take charge of my own dental health. The entire staff is genuinely warm, they smile and they really like being there. I'd recommend Southpoint Family Dentistry to anyone who ever asked me for a good dentist in the area!
