General Info

I am a double board-certified Psychiatrist with experience treating children, adolescents and adults with a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges including but not limited to depression and other mood disorders, anxiety disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), ADHD, adjustment issues, Autism Spectrum Disorder, peripartum mood disorders, and psychosis. I can provide diagnostic evaluations, consultations, medication management and/or psychotherapy depending on the needs of the individual and family. My therapy style is based in insight-oriented psychotherapy (“talk therapy”) in order to help clients better understand themselves, their thoughts and their behaviors, which can lead to personal growth and better psychological well-being. I incorporate elements of supportive therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness skills depending on the needs and preferences of my clients. I also provide behavior management training to help parents builds skills to better help their children with behavior concerns. I take the time to really get to know my clients so I can provide the most comprehensive and individualized care. When prescribing medications, I use a thoughtful and evidence-based approach and see it as one piece of a holistic treatment plan.
