Great food, a little loud with the mariachi band but great atmosphere all the same. Celebrated my dear friend's birthday!!

We had the tortilla soup, mojarra veracruzana and steak picado. All were good, although the portions were outrageously huge. Definitely a case of quantity over quality. The service was extremely slow. First, no hostess; had to wait 5 minutes for her to show up. The waitress took our order promptly, but receiving the food was another story. Finally the waitress brought our food, then left never to return without saying anything. We finally got another waitress to bring the bill and then left leaving a hefty tip just because we wanted to get out of there.

I am a regular at Gloria's or rather used to be a regular. This past experience did it. First of all, they are very rude, no hospitality whatsoever. Might as well take your own drinks cause they will leave you feeling parched. You pretty much have to chase down any employee that walks by you to get "service". The so called manager just stands in her employees area checking everyone out. When you complain about an employee, she feel like need to argue back with you. Hello, what happened to "the customers always right"????? It gets worse everytime. They're inconsistent with their portions of food. Sometimes you'll get enough to satisfy your hunger or enough to feed 2. This last experience was so GLORIAS, they so reheated my meat and sad thing is it was probably from the night before. Not only I felt that way, but after mentioning it to my sister she said the same thing. GROSSSSSS!!!!!! I refuse to waste my money that way. On another note, the owners son dines in once in a while with his buddies and I think they forget they're not a home. HIs friends help themselves into the kitchen and open to the customer's in the dining area this guys grabbed a hand full of chips from the "chip drawer" (that they never clean out). Can the manager please tell him something for the sake of your customers and for sanitary reasons??????
