The Compass School is a private special education day school that serves elementary, middle and high school students from the ages of 6 to 22 years of age. Its each student has an individualized education program that provides an individually focused service plan. It offers educational, vocational clinical, advocacy and support services. It provides individualized curriculum and instruction that addresses the academic, behavioral and emotional needs of students. It collaborates with other organizations to increase the resources available to each individual and their family. It employs a range of teaching methods centered on students' distinctive learning styles. Its support services include mental health, social, medical, legal and vocational services and is located in Jamaica Plain, Mass.
