The Aubree's story begins in 1972, when Bill and Sandee French opened a little corner bar in Depot Town, Ypsilanti. Throughout the years, Aubree's has grown into the full service restaurants we are today. We not only want to exceed your expectations of quality, service, and atmosphere, but our hope is to be deeply rooted into the community by being active in supporting local schools, charities, and organizations. Our community has helped shape who we are today, and will continue to determine who we are in the future. Our goal is to provide top-quality meals at a reasonable price in a casual environment. We operate our restaurants with integrity and respect, and we do it in a personal way! Our customer needs are our top priorities. Our extensive menu includes gourmet pizza, fresh baked breads, salads, pub sandwiches, burgers, and other comforting entrees. For us, it will always be about combining gourmet flavors with the right balance of indulgence and nutrition. The hostess asked if we needed a high chair or booster seat for our 4-week old infant....after I told her that we needed space for an infant seat. Then, while we were waiting..and waiting...for a waitress to take our drink order... we discovered that it's really loud in the restaurant. We had a difficult time talking to each other across the table. We ordered an appetizer (artichoke and spinach dip), which was near cold even though the bowl was burning hot. The chips that came with it were so stale that some of them could be bent and twisted! The pizza was great, as Aubree's pizza always is. We have been to the Ypsi Aubree's many times and expected the same level of quality when it came to the customer service and food, but it just wasn't there. It seemed that a little more time should have been spent on educating the young and inexperienced staff on the importance of high quality service and food. We will probably go back, but not for a while. Hopefully that will give them some time to get it together.
