Lilian Place, built in 1884, is the original home of the Thompson Family one of the founding families of Daytona is now a wonderful 1884 Victorian Museum. Open for tours from 1-4:30pm each day (closed Tuesday) last tour at 4pm. Only $5.00 per person. In 2012, the Trust acquired the 1905 Queen Anne Victorian Hotchkiss House, original home of Eli Hotchkiss, the "Stapler King", and is a Cultural Event site. These are two of the oldest and finest examples of late nineteenth century architecture on Daytona beachside. The 501c3 nonprofit Heritage Preservation Trust was formed in 2006 and acquired Lilian Place in 2009 and Hotchkiss House in 2012 both through Volusia County ECHO grants.
