General Info
Dr. Bullock is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Harvard Medical School. He completed an internship in internal medicine at Washington University/St. Louis before serving in the Navy. After residency training in ophthalmology at Yale, he completed fellowships at UC San Francisco, and the Mayo Clinic. He received an MSc in Microbiology and Immunology from Wright State University and an MPH from the Harvard School of Public Health. He completed additional training from the: AFIP, CDC, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and Pasteur Institute in Paris. He worked as an ophthalmologist at the Albert Schweitzer Hospital in Haiti and held a clinical faculty position at Stanford before coming to Wright State, where he served as Professor and Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology, Professor of Physiology and Biophysics, Associate Professor of Microbiology and Immunology, Clinical Professor of Population and Public Health Sciences, Research Epidemiologist in Ocular Infectious Diseases, and was named the Brage Golding Distinguished Professor of Research. Dr. Bullock is the author or coauthor of more than 240 scientific publications. He is a member of AA, , the American Osler Society, the American Ophthalmological Society, and the Cornea Society (Member with Thesis). He is a Fellow of the: American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Academy of Pediatrics, American Academy of Forensic Sciences, Infectious Diseases Society of America, and American College of Epidemiology. He has received numerous honors and awards. His current research interests include medical and ophthalmic history, ocular infectious disease epidemiology, and forensic ophthalmology.
