Provided by YP.comI noticed that bLUU has been steadily going downhill. I have been a patron since the beginning, for me bLUU is a neighborhood restaurant and was a "go to" place for me and my friends. Tonight was the ultimate gross out. I picked one out of my mouth, the next one off the plate and the next two were right in the most expensive sushi roll they have. Rodent hairs in my food - they said that the avocados were not covered. Who is watching the store here. I've had other issues each time I have gone back before this. Bad Hamburger meat on what used to be the best cheesburger in town, missing ingredients taken out of my Tuscan salad but not off the menu. Wake up management. You are not longer the go to place for anyone who knows me and who has experienced the same. Cigarette butts under out feet on the patio creating a nauseating smell completed the horrible and disappointing dinner. Had to go inside three times to ask for a server to help us.

Provided by YP.comthe food here was amazing. my only problem was with the waitstaff. I had to wait a long time for a table, and my waiter was kind of rude. But the original and flavorful food overshaddowed these negatives. I had a great night and will definatly return!

Provided by YP.combluu was fantastic! The resturant style reminded me of my New York and Miami days. The food was funky delicious and beautiful. The menu was unique and different. I would reccomend this resturant any day!

Provided by YP.comsorry about your experiance at bluu with the service. but this is what resturants in danbury are all like. For me, Bluu was a hip and trendy eatery; a refreshing change. The atmosphere is very New York; the bar periodicly changes colors, and around 10, tables in the center are moved to turn the resturant into a nightclub. They have an interesting combo menu of gormet burgers, elegant pizzas and fresh sushi. I loved my food, and it was artistically plated. I will definatly go back to bluu!
--Great for adults for a night out, romantic dinner, or fun dancing. not really great for kids!

Its true, some of the owners do not go out of their way to welcome you or make you feel like a guest.Even though they know you are a regular customer .I must say the sushi is very good.It would be nice to walk in the door and feel like" somebodys happy to see you" not disappointed !

Provided by YP.comSimilar experience. My husband and I, and two friends went on a Friday night. Our waitress was akward and flippant. My girlfriend ordered a burger with no dressing. When the waitress brought out her food with dressing, the comment was, "I know you asked for no dressing, but they put it on anyway, sorry"...and so the rest of our meal went. True story. The food was terrible. I ordered a Tempura shrimp roll. I got a roll with lettuce & batter and a bit of cucumber. My husband a pizza, one would think you cant screw up pizza, you'd be wrong. Maybe the assumption is that everyone is drunk so we would be wowed by presentation alone. Bluu is a pretentious 80's Las Vegas/NY/Miami wannabe with crappy art and a laser show!!

While Bluu is hip for the techno crowd, the lack of direction on the food menu leaves a lot to be desired. What's worse is that the kitchen often botches orders, and the owners do little to make customers feel welcomed.

Provided by YP.comHorrible experience at Bluu! Staff ranges from completely clueless to downright arrogant. My husband, friend and I arrived at Bluu for dinner at 8PM on Saturday and were told the wait would be 15 minutes. We subsequently checked with the hostess three times and, each time, were told the wait would be 15 minutes. Finally, at 9PM, the hostess told us that although no tables were available in the main part of the restaurant, we could sit at a table in the bar. Ironically, the table at which she wanted to seat us was one that was unoccupied for our entire hour-long wait! To make matters worse, when we inquired about sitting at tables in the center of the restaurant that had been recently cleared and remained unoccupied, we were told that the restaurant converts to a nightclub "sometime after 10PM" and they could not seat us because we might not be finished by the time the dancing began. I asked to speak with the manager and was confronted by Andy Berman, who, it turns out, is one of the owners. He told us, unapologetically, that he could not "control when customers leave" and therefore was not responsible for our prolonged wait. I indicated that he could control whether or not we were seated at the unoccupied tables. Mr. Berman repeated that the restaurant converting to a nightclub after 10PM. I told him that we had no intention of lingering as we were trying to catch a movie, or rather, that we WERE trying to catch a movie when we had arrived an hour earlier. Again, without apology, Mr. Berman, repeated the policy and then turned his back on us and walked away.
If Bluu’s management continues to behave in this Neanderthal-like manner, I suspect they will not survive this economic downturn nor should they.
